The Gail Bash Memorial Symposium: Understanding BRCA 1 & 2

A symposium for individuals with BRCA 1 & 2 gene mutations & those who support them. Topics include a panel of physicians, nutrition and exercise guidelines, decision making, support for spouses, how to talk to children about genetic cancer, self-care and sexuality and intimacy. Hospice Volunteer Education
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Hospice Volunteer Education, Saturdays, April 5 & 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hospice of the Western Reserve, 2173 North Ridge Road E., Lorain, OH 44055. Anyone 13 years or older interested in making a difference in the lives of others is welcome to attend this training. Volunteers interested in working with patients must attend both sessions, while volunteering in non-patient areas and teen volunteering requires only attendance at the first 4 hours of the class on April 5. Parma Easter Egg Hunt

Parma residents are invited to the Second Annual City of Parma Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Mayor Tim DeGeeter, City Council President Sean Brennan and the First Federal Savings of Lakewood branch located at 1640 Snow Road in Parma. The event will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 3:00 pm at Mayor James Day Park (11828 West Pleasant Valley Road). Children ages 10 and under are invited to search for candy-filled eggs and prizes.
