10th Anniversary MyCom Youth Voice Award Winners!

We had a wonderful dinner at the InterContinental Hotel with a variety of student performances. Two students from Parma presented awards in the Youth Voice category, Zahraa Alribeawi and Noah Utterback (both were asked to present because both were award winners in 2016).

Maker Mondays

LED paintings, Turkey BOTS, ‘Zine making – lots of STEM learning, life skills, literacy and FUN! A Starting Point grant funded program in partnership with the Parma Library from 4-5pm on Mondays.  The program ends on December 11.  We hope to be able to offer this again in the future.

We had a Family Night at Ridgewood United Methodist Church in Parma on November 15 that included a meal, craft and a speaker from OhioGuidestone on the topic of bullying.

LOOKING FORWARD…..

Plans are in the works for a Martin Luther King Day (Monday, January 15, 2018) celebration of cultures.  Watch for more information.  You won’t want to miss it!

Parma City School District/Parma Area Family Collaborative is offering the following volunteer opportunities to  bring cheer to others.  Please help as you are able!

December 2nd – Stuff the Bus Volunteers needed to help collect gifts from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

Community members are invited to bring an unwrapped toy, youth clothing, food or monetary donation to our Stuff the Bus Location:

PCSD Transportation Lot, 7600 Day Drive

Saturday, December 2nd, 9:00am – 1:00PM

December 9th – Holiday Breakfast We host a special holiday Breakfast for Families in the Community.  Volunteers needed to help with the following:

Serve Breakfast to the Families – 9:30am – 11:00am

Help  youth complete holiday crafts – 10:30am – 2:00pm
