I Believe

A mature person thinks twice before offending someone over a personal issue. A small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; it is the only thing that ever has. Avoid looking backward or forward and try to keep looking upward. God can restore us and does not count our trespasses against us. God instructs, we obey, and He performs. It is a deadly mistake to follow those who choose worldly ways over Godly ways. It is possible that the most significant acts of all are carried out in secret, seen by no one but God.

Life is short; enjoy it now! Love is fulfilling God’s law because He is Love. Most of the choices we make require waiting.
People often make faulty judgments based on minimal information or hearsay. People who keep God’s commandments dwell in Him and He in them. Praying for people who treat us with contempt is one way to do good to those who hate us. Pride leads to every other vice; it is the complete anti-God state of mind. Repentance is a change of mind and direction and a turning away from sin. Seek God and call upon Him regarding all matters.

The sooner parents expect responsible behavior from their children, the sooner they will come through. Use what we have. Start doing it. Expect it to happen. (USE) We are not stuck with our attitudes. We learned them. We can “unlearn” them. We can all benefit from God’s patience. We can lose the reality of the forest because we are looking too closely at each tree. We live in a dishonest (cheating) culture, unfortunately. We should live our lives knowing that what we do is observed by others. When parents spend time with their children, they pay them the highest compliment they will ever receive.

Self-reflection is always a good exercise. What I believe is a work in progress, not limited to these statements and subject to change. What do YOU believe?
