Parma’s May Show Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Parma Area Fine Arts Council will host their annual Medley of Arts Show & Sale, at the Donna Smallwood Activities Center, located at 7001 W Ridgewood Dr. This year in addition to the show, which features the work of local artists and craftsmen in seven different categories, the show will feature ongoing demonstrations in doll making by High On Dolls, and wood carving by Great Lakes Wood Carvers, as well as watercolor painting and wood burning. Refreshments are available, as well as some great Chinese Auction items. Attendees will also be able to vote the People’s Choice Award for the most popular item. Meet the artists and craftsmen, and watch them create unique one-of-a-kind items. Best of all, admission is free.

Enamel Jewelry Class

Anthony DeMarco, a retired Parma High School art teacher who taught for 31 years, will be teaching beginning enamel jewelry making in a 4-week course, starting Wednesday, June 5. 2019, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Donna Smallwood Activities Center, 7001 W Ridgewood Dr. Cost for the 4-week class is $80.00, payable the first day of class or in advance. Prama Artspace Gallery

“For Moms Everywhere” Art Show at Prama Artspace Gallery, 5411 Pearl Rd, has items suitable for a wonderful Mothers Day gift for your Mom. Besides the artwork on the walls, the gallery has a boutique with handmade items suitable for gift giving and reasonably priced. Artists included in this show are as follows: Janet R. Century, Laura D'Alessandro, Joyce Morrow Jones, Jacci Hammer, Nico Pico Train, Jim Szudy, Mary Ford, June Hund, and Sean Mabin. Also featured is Polish artist Susan Banks-Yurik with her Iconographic style drawings.
