5th Annual Touch A Truck Parma Rolling In August 24
After attending a local pre-school big truck day in 2014, I was inspired to put on an event of her own for the Parma Early Childhood PTA and the City of Parma. A once small idea has now turned into the 5th year of the popular Touch a Truck in Parma.

An inclusive, Sensory Friendly Silent Hour (no honking or sirens) is from 12-1 pm. Touch a Truck is Rain or Shine!
Touch a Truck is a FREE Community event that includes over 20 unique cars and trucks for kids & families to explore including a fire truck, police car, school bus, monster trucks and more! They offer free face painting from Art by Ali, Balloon Animals from The Magic Man and crafts from Home Depot (while supplies last). Presented by The City of Parma, Mayor DeGeeter, Parma Early Childhood PTA, University Hospitals & The Shoppes at Parma.
Neighborhood organizations in cities across the nation host special community events such as outdoor festivals, street fairs, and carnivals. Touch a Truck Parma has proved to be a successful, free event and point of pride for our community. It has even become an anticipated yearly event.
Going into the 5th Touch a Truck, the event has outgrown its former location at UH Health Education Center, the old Faye Junior High and has moved to the Shoppes at Parma. Our partnership with UH has helped support and bring the event to fruition and with the new location, we're proud to continue our relationship with them.
Admission is FREE, but please bring a canned good (non-perishable item) for the Parma Hunger Center or your loose change donated to the Parma Animal Shelter, both non-profits supporting our area and citizens. Parma Early Childhood PTA (PECPTA) will be collecting. In addition, PECPTA has partnered with restaurants at the Shoppes at Parma to host fundraisers during/after the event where a portion of the proceeds raised support the PECPTA Sarah Kyker Scholarship for a graduating Parma City School District senior.
