Foster Parent Pre-Service Training

In the last twelve months, Pathway received 2,400 referrals for Northeast Ohio children of all ages needing to be placed in a safe and nurturing home. Today, Cuyahoga County represents over 60% of our foster care referrals. There are children in our own community, who sit next to your child in school, who have been abused and neglected and are in need of a foster family.

You can make a difference. The time is now to be a foster parent. Foster parents are ordinary people who are genuinely concerned about the children and families in our community and believe that they can impact a child’s life in a positive way. Pathway staff provide all the training and support you, as the foster parent, will need to provide love, guidance, discipline, and stability for the children you welcome into your home.

Pre-service training is 43 hours of hands on learning, equipping you to provide informed care for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. New classes will begin Wednesday, October 9th in Pathway’s Brook Park Office. Please contact Pathway at 1-800-838-7284 or visit www.pathwaycfc.org to learn more.
