Remembering Robert M. Verdile

Two Parma Area legends together on Memorial Day 2016- Left-Bob Verdile, Right-Judge George Spanagel

The Greater Parma Area will begin 2020 mourning the loss of a community leader like no other. It is hard to estimate just how many lives were touched by Bob Verdile during his 84 years of life. The real question seems to be, what didn't Bob do? He was a U.S. Army Veteran, served the City of Parma Heights for 30 years as a Councilman and also Economic Director, was once the President of the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce, Trustee for 17 years at Parma General Community Hospital and a Health Foundation Member, a parishioner at St. Bridget of Kildare Church, and a Holy Name Society Member. He also put a smile on the face of everyone he ever spoke with. He was a friend of us all. We have lost a wonderful member of our community and he will be missed forever.
