Holy Name High School Student Photography Exhibit, “Take Another Look”. Cleveland Photo Fest & Prama Artspace and Gallery is proud to present this exhibit, which runs through June 20th. Prama is located at 5411 Pearl Rd. Gallery hours are Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday 2 to 7 PM, Monday 11 AM to 2 PM, and Friday 2 to 5 PM. On Friday, May 28th a Special Opening Reception was held with food donated by Rudy’s Strudel & Bakery, honoring the participating students. Coming June 25th, Cleveland Photo Fest Volunteers Show. Cleveland Photo Fest presents Photothon 2021 – At Bostwick Design Center, 2729 Prospect Avenue in down town Cleveland. “I Identify As”, portraits in black and white, “For Women Only: Dear Diary”, show us your secrets, “Furtography, Another Show For The Dogs”, “Deja Nude, Not Another Nude Show”, runs through June 30th. Off-site exhibitions also include, “Cleveland – Kerala”, a photo exchange between Cleveland and Kerala, India at BayArts Gallery, “Open Eyes Open Minds: Cleveland Quests” at LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland, “Portraying Thought, Inquiry and Story in Photography” at Macs Back Books in Coventry, and last but not least Holy Name High School Student Exhibit at Parma’s Prama Artspace and Gallery. Sean Mabin’s photography is on exhibition in the “Altered Realities” exhibit at Doubting Thomas Gallery located in Tremont at 68 Jefferson Ave., and runs through June 8th. His work can also be seen at Bostwick Design Center in the “I Identify As” portrait exhibit until June 30th and at Stella Art Gallery in Willoughby for Lakeland’s May Show 2021 Extended Version on June 11th & 12th. 

On May 22nd Prama Artspace and Gallery hosted the book release of Miss Melvis. There was a live musical performance by Duo Decibel. Cleveland’s Miss Melvis and John Scully are Duo Decibel. Their sound is a mix of electronic, jazz, punk and pop, and was set amidst the background of Slain Nemo’s fantastic artwork. 

Cyanotype Workshop (Sun Prints) – Summer is here, and that’s the season for fun in the sun! Cyanotype, or sun prints are a photographic process that uses the sun to print an image. It’s a fun project for adults and older children. The class will be held at Prama Artspace and Gallery on June 5th, and again on June 12th, with rain dates on June 6th and June 13th if necessary. The instructor is Samantha Bias, a popular Cleveland artist. Cost is $25 er person and includes all materials. Take home kits are also available the day of class for $30, that include paper, bookmarks, and mystery objects so you can take the fun home with you. Parma Area Fine Arts Council Board Members Michelle Behal, President and Katrina Lindsley, Member At Large, have been busy through the pandemic. Both are selling their handcrafted wares at The Rift Shop in Olmsted Falls, Rooted Oaks Ohio in Streetsboro and opening July 10th at Cleveland Craft Nook in North Royalton. Michelle’s speciality is pyrography or wood burning and Katrina’s is “smelly jelly” room fresheners. Stop in if you are in the neighborhood.
