Grandparents Festival 2024
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Grandparents Festival 2024 will be held on Saturday, August 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Parma-Powers Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library, 6996 Powers Blvd. The Festival is free and open to all. The festival is an opportunity for families with children in Preschool through Grade 5 to spend time together and celebrate family. Play bingo and do family activities. Do a nature craft with Holden Forests and Gardens. Take a special family photo with a Grandparents Day backdrop. Take home a festival bag full of fun things for children and seniors to do together, while supplies last.
Grand Bingo will debut at the festival this year. Kids and grandparents can play Bingo together to win children’s books and prizes. After the festival, Grand Bingo will be a monthly event for seniors and kids age 4 to Grade 5. Join in the fun on the third Thursday of every month from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., starting September 19. https://tinyurl.com/ParmaGrandBingo
Families can spend time together and enjoy nature at the new Parma-Powers Branch StoryWalkTM in nearby Ridgewood Lake Park. The walk starts near the intersection of Roycroft Dr and Ridge Rd, and proceeds along the Upper Ridgewood Basin. The first featured book is Silly Sally, a funny rhyming story by Audrey Woods.
