Scrumptious Spaghetti Dinner Supports The Parma Animal Shelter
Join the Parma Animal Shelter on Saturday, September 14, 2013 for a flavorful and scrumptious spaghetti dinner and an amazing silent auction at Ridgewood United Methodist Church. This annual tasty fundraiser benefits the shelter in more ways than one. The shelter's main expense is medical care; however, the shelter has been renovated throughout the years and will continue to be renovated in order to meet the needs of the animals and public.
The Parma Animal Shelter is a 100% run volunteer organization that depends on volunteers, fundraisers, donations, and grants in order to keep the shelter operating. The animal shelter serves the Parma community, which is one of the largest suburbs, over 80,000 residents, within Cuyahoga County. The shelter's objectives are to:
1. Work to prevent animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect.
2. Educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering to control pet over-population.
3. Increase public awareness and appreciation of companion animals.
4. Assist in providing a stress-free, healthy environment for lost, abandoned, neglected, and stray animals.
5. To provide emergency and wellness medical care for PAS, Inc. animals.
6. To find permanent placement into new homes.
While the animal shelter's main mission is: To reconcile lost pets with their owners and find good homes for stray animals brought in by Parma ACO Julie Kocik.
