National Vietnam War Veterans Day

On March 29, 1973, two months after the signing of the Vietnam peace agreement, the last U.S. combat troops left South Vietnam. At the same time, Hanoi freed the remaining American prisoners of war held in North Vietnam. In all, nearly 550,000 Americans served in Vietnam and 58,000 of them gave their lives. On this National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we honor the men and women who served and sacrificed during the longest conflict in United States History.
