Yes On Seven HIlls Renewal Issue 20

I’m writing today about the upcoming Seven Hills Issue 20. I'm asking Seven Hills residents to vote YES.  However, before you decide, it is important to know why Seven Hills Council put this issue before you this Spring.

What should you know:

  1. Issue 20 is a RENEWAL issue that WILL NOT INCREASE TAXES!
  2. This levy is 100% dedicated to our weekly REFUSE/GARBAGE collection and disposal.
  3. Issue 20 is on this May’s ballot.
  4. City Council unanimously placed this refuse levy renewal on the May ballot.

What is the impact on Seven Hills Residents: Issue 20 WILL NOT INCREASE TAXES! Issue 20 will completely cover our refuse expenses for the next 5 years. The funds generated from this levy, plus the current balance in our refuse fund, will completely cover our recently approved 5-year contract with Waste Management. The contract with Waste Management will run from 2023-2027 and the levy will run from 2024-2028. Further, Issue 20 will protect our General Fund Operations and help maintain our bond rating.

What should you do: Request an absentee ballot or vote in person May 2, 2023.

I appreciate you taking the time to understand the facts and making an informed vote.

Tony Biasiotta

Mayor, City of Seven Hills. Ohio
