Parma Heights Historical Society

2023 was a great year for the Parma Heights Historical. In March a new President was elected, Chuck Kacynski. Under his leadership we had 3 Bus tours that he directed to Historical areas of interest through out Parma Heights. Then with full cooperation from the Parma Heights Police, Chuck did a visual narrative at the Replica Toll House of the History of the Parma Heights Police Dept. to an enthusiastic crowd. The police also provided a demonstration from Gunny, the Police Dog. We also did a walking tour of the Parma Heights Cemetery to highlight some of our 76 Veterans buried here and bringing awareness to Parma Heights and the surrounding communities of the Patriotism that has been a big part of our unity in times of need. All of these Events were in addition to our Seasonal events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas in July. and Halloween Pumpkin Painting. Thank You very much to The Parma Heights Recreation Department for always including us in their planned events. We also want to thank Police Chief, Steve Scharschmidt for his dedicated years of service to the Police Dept. and congratulations to our new Police Chief, Tonya Czack. We wish the very best to both of you.

2024 President, Chuck Kacynski and Vice President, Zach Humphrey have been working on a plan to build a user friendly Web Site that will be announced when completed. 3 more major events are planned. The History of the Parma Heights Fire Dept, Important women of Parma Heights, Crile Hospital and Nike Site. New Members or Volunteers are always encouraged. We are on Facebook, (Parma Heights Historical Society).
