Winterfest - A New Parma Tradition

Between Christmas and New Year’s Day parents are often looking for something to do with their children.  A new tradition has started in Parma and fills this need called Winterfest.  The second annual Winterfest event was held at the West Creek Reservation’s Watershed Stewardship Center on Friday December 29th. This event was put on by Councilman Rob Euerle, Councilwoman Kelly Zacharias and myself in partnership with the Cleveland Metroparks.

Winterfest is a free family friendly event that included crafts, stuff animals, a hot chocolate hike, donuts and door prizes.

Thank you to everyone who donated including:

Cleveland Metroparks

PetSmart

Dunkin’ on Ridge Rd

Thank you also to the Parma Fire Department, Parma Police Department and Congressman Max Miller for stopping by.

Over 300 people came to Winterfest. We look forward to growing this event with the Cleveland Metroparks in the years to come.

Finally thank you to Kristin Saban, Clerk of Council and the entire council office for your help!
