Battle For The Ballot: Cleveland’s Suffragist Movement

The Parma Heights Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library will host Battle for the Ballot: Cleveland’s Suffragist Movement on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in Meeting Room A. Learn about the local history of Suffragist movement in Cleveland and the women who petitioned and advocated for the right to vote for women in the United States. With the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920 which legally guaranteed women the right to vote, these dedicated Cleveland women later championed their efforts to help establish an organization known as The League of Women Voters.
