Call for Artists: Parma Arts will be holding an art exhibit on May 18th & 19th at the Parma Parks & Recreation Building, 7335 Ridge Rd. Deadline for entry is May 5th,. Drop off is May 17th. To download the application and details on rules and regulations go to www.parmafinearts.org.

Art Instructors Needed: Looking for art instructors to teach workshops and classes in various styles and mediums for youth and adults. This is a paid part-time position. Email kathrynmabin@att.net for details.

Parma City School District Annual Student Art Show: May 6th to 16th, elementary student art show. May 20th to 30th secondary student art show at Parma Snow Library, 2121 Snow Rd.

Lynne Shayko, Parma Arts member, was accepted to the “Doowutchyalike” exhibit show at GrafettiHeArt Gallery, 4829 Superior Ave. One day only show, May 11, 2024 5 to 9 pm. All styles and mediums.

“Art of the Trade – Artists Collecting Artists” – Laura D’Alessandro & June Hund, judges from last years Parma Arts May show, & Milenko Budimir, aParma resident, are showing at Doubting Thomas, 856 Jefferson Ave until May 4th.

Daphne Ford, Parma resident and Katie Harroff, Parma Arts Member, are on exhibit, April 27 to May 17. Creative Space Avon, located at 33760 Lear Industrial Pkwy – “Creative Women” event. Additionally, Katie Harroff is currently on display at Beachwood Library.

Joyce Morrow Jones, fiber artist and past Parma Arts instructor with paper mache dolls & corn huskdollclasses, is on display at Parma Powers Blvd Library. She’s going to do a tour/talk of her exhibit in May.

James “Jim” Denham a Great Lakes Woodcarver: We mourn the passing of Jim on April 17, 2024, at the age of 73. Jim pursued watercolor painting until he discovered a passion for woodcarving, through the Great Lakes Woodcarvers, where he was a long-time member until ALS stopped his efforts.
