Sean Mabin at Reinburger Gallery CIA

Prama Artspace Gallery, 5411 Pearl Rd., Nothing But Flowers, art exhibit and sale, opened June 8, 2024. This large floral themed exhibit features over 25 local artists work, paintings, mixed media and photography. Opening reception was held Saturday, June 8 with entertainment provided by Magickally Morbid and her acoustic guitar. Show closing is July 6th. The gallery is open to the public, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 6 pm, or by appointment. In addition to the exhibit there’s a boutique with numerous low priced handcrafted items. Watch for a new exhibit coming in July.

Sean Mabin, owner/operator of Prama Artspace Gallery was honored to be accepted into the Cleveland Institute of Art’s Alumni Show at Reinberger Gallery, 11010 Euclid Ave. The exhibit is on view through August 9, 2024. Sean’s work is also on display at Pinwheel Gallery, 2019 Broadview Rd, for the Picnic – Summer Group Show which runs through July 26, 2024.

Parma Area Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing art to the community. Located at 7335 Ridge Rd, this organization has both artists and crafters, and those that just enjoy the arts. In addition to classes and workshops they also partner with other community members on events and hold an an annual art show with prizes. They are looking for new members. Are you interested? FREE Figure Drawing at The Parma Art Center,7335 Ridge Rd (inside City of Parma Parks &Recreation Center). Ongoing FREE figure drawing the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, 6:30 to 8:30 PM. No instructor, just a gathering of artists. Welcome beginning or experienced artists to draw or paint. Live models, fully clothed. Each session a different volunteer model from the community will pose in exchange for a drawing/painting from each artist present. This is a body-positive group, all shapes, sizes, and ages are welcome to pose. Great way for artists to hone your figure drawing skills, meet other artists, in a relaxing atmosphere. Michelle Behal, president of Parma Arts, owner/operator of Bear Tracks Art and Manager of The Rift Shop in Olmsted Falls is proud to announce that The Rift Shop was voted the 2024 Best of the West Handmade Retail Shop by Cleveland Magazine. The Rift Shop is located at 8125 Columbia Rd., in Olmsted Falls.

Lynne Shayko, a Parma Arts member, will be doing 15 minute pastel portraits at the 4th Annual Rockin’ At The Rift shop on July 13th from 9 to 3.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS! Farm Art Day is July 13, 2024. Whatever your medium… pencil, ink, crayon, charcoal, watercolor, etc. Make plans to gather at Stearns Homestead on July 13th. Set up is at 9:30 pm. You provide your opwn chair and supplies. No registration fee, and all ages are welcome. Pre-regitration is recommended by emailing your name, age (if under 18), and medium to pahs6975@gmail.com. Stearns Homestead is located at 6975 Ridge Roa.

Rita Elswick photographer, designed, created and donated approximately 200 greeting cards to the Donna Smallwood Activity Center. She was awarded a grant for individuals with disabilities. Rita has a spinal cord injury. The cards were created using photographs she took. The project was called Caring Cards for Seniors. The concept behind the project was to create the cards for homebound seniors or those who couldn’t afford to purchase cards to communicate with friends and family.  Making a difference with art.
