Tribe Ostara Tribal Belly Dancing Group

Jan McAndrews, Parma Arts member, and member of Tribe Ostara Tribal Belly Dancing will be at Cleveland Pagan Pride Festival, 730 Broadway Ave., Bedford, performing improvisational sword, skirt and zill performance, in beautiful & colorful, ethnic clothing with movements inspired by Middle East, North Africa, Spain & India folklore dances, on Saturday August 17.

Sue Holick-Bade, Parma Arts member, visual artist has 2 pieces on exhibit at Summit Artspace – Women’s Art League Summer Exhibition, 140 E Market St Akron, through September 12, 2024. Online viewing is also available on their web page. She also has a photograph in the upcoming Cleveland Photo Fest, “Don’t I Look Fabulous” at Bostwick Design located at 2729 Prospect.

Gary Nass, a Parma resident, is on display at Frontdoor Gallery, 3838 Brecksville Rd in Richfield through August.

Sean Mabin is honored to be on exhibit at the Cleveland Institute of Art’s Alumni Show at Reinberger Gallery, 11010 Euclid Ave. The exhibit is on view through August 9, 2024. His photos will also be in the CATography exhibit of Cleveland Photo Fest

Katie Harroff, Parma Arts member, is showing at Solon Center for the Arts Gallery, 6315 SOM Center Rd., through August 9th.

Parma Art members at Picnic In The Park, Ridgewood Basin, August 3, 2024 include, Anthony DeMarco Photography, Kathy Dregalla with pet portraits in watercolor or acrylics, Craig Lindsley’s Caesar Comics, self published & original art prints, his wife Katrina Lindsley’s Devotions hand crafted room & air fresheners & diffusers, and Denise Jansen’s Celtic Creations jewelry, tees & assorted other items.

Gabrielle Lawrence, Parma Arts member, has two pieces on exhibit at the Ohio State Fair in Columbus through August 4th.

Parma Area Artsis a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing art to the community. Located at 7335 Ridge Rd, this organization has both artists and crafters, and those that just enjoy the arts. In addition to classes and workshops they also partner with other community members on events and hold an an annual art show with prizes. They are looking for new members. Are you interested? FREE Figure Drawing at The Parma Art Center, 7335 Ridge Rd (inside City of Parma Parks &Recreation Center). Ongoing FREE figure drawing the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, 6:30 to 8:30 PM. No instructor, just a gathering of artists. Welcome beginning or experienced artists to draw or paint. Live models, fully clothed. Each session a different volunteer model from the community will pose in exchange for a drawing/painting from each artist present. This is a body-positive group, all shapes, sizes, and ages are welcome to pose. Great way for artists to hone your figure drawing skills, meet other artists, in a relaxing atmosphere.
