Pet Portraits

Our pets are our loving and faithful companions. Show your love for them by learning how to draw their portrait. These classes will be held on Monday’s, March 24, 31, April 7 and 14, from 1 to 3 PM at the Parma Art Center, located in the Parma Parks & Recreation Building, at 7335 Ridge Road.

The instructor, Kathy Dregalla, has for the past two decades been drawing and painting animals, mostly dogs and cats, and a hippo or two. She will share her techniques, using contour drawing, a grid, or three dimensional idea if you desire, during this, two hour, four week class. Participants can choose which animal they wish to draw and are encouraged to bring a photo to use as a reference material.

Class size is limited in order to offer individualized attention, in a relaxing atmosphere. Beginners are very welcome. Claasses fill up fast.  Register now by emailing kathrynmabin@att.net. A fee of $10 per person is payable first day of class.

This is one of a series of classes offered throughout the year titled Art For The Fun Of It! It’s an opportunity to take instruction in various mediums. It’s funded in part by a matching grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, which helps to defray the cost. Parma Area Fine Arts Council, Imc. Is a 501(c)3 non-profit which as served this community for over 60 years. These classes bring enjoyable, affordable art to the community at large, taught by qualified instructors. No residency is required.
