CALL FOR ARTISTS! Parma Arts has put out a call for artists for the Medley of Arts Show & Sale. Deadline to enter May 9, 2025. Application and details can be downloaded from the website, http://www.parmafinearts.org/2025medleyofartshow.html. Categories include watercolor, acrylics & oil, graphics (pencil, pen & ink, charcoal, computer graphics, (no AI) marker, pyrography, photography, 3-D art (jewelry, sculpture, glass), fiber art, mixed media and wood carving. Cash prizes awarded to first place artists in each category, plus a Best In Show. In addition the public can vote for the People’s Choice Award. Ribbons to second, third place and honorable mentions. No residency restrictions.

Medley of Arts Show & Sale – Free Admission- Open to the public., Saturday, May 17th, 11am to 5pm, Sunday, May 18th, 11am to 3pm, at The Parma Art Center, located in the Parma Parks & Recreation Department Bldg, 7335 Ridge Rd. View over a hundred original works of art from talented local artists in 8 categories. Entertainment, raffle prizes, demonstrations, and refreshments provided.

Michelle Behal, President of Parma Arts, owner/operator of Bear Tracks Art, will be one of 40 vendors at Crowleys Tree Farm for the Farm Fresh Creative & Crafts Show, 2150 Greenwich Rd in Wadsworth, Ohio, Sunday, May 4th, 1:30 to 5:30 pm. Michelle is an Inspirational Rustic Artist, specializing in Pyrography (wood burning).

Craig Peters – is on exhibit in the Plattsburg Artists’ Coalition Art Show, May 16 & 17, 2025. Celebrating “Art” And The Main Stroll in Plattsburg Missouri.

Gary Nass, is on display at Frontdoor Gallery, 3838 Brecksville Rd in Richfield.

Gary Nass, displaying abstract wood sculptures, JoannaEllis, displaying creative art quilts, and Katarina Lapyhina with her photography are at the Cuyahoga County Public Library, Powers Branch, in the spring show, titled The Beautyand Humor of Everyday Life.

Sean Mabin was accepted into the Mansfield Art Center’s May Show, located at 700 Marion Ave. in Mansfield. This free exhibit runs through May 18, 2025. His entry won the Photography Prize.

Sean Mabin, and Anthony DeMarco were on exhibit in Cleveland Photo Fest’s ThroughThe Lens: A Portrait Show at Brownhoist Gallery, 4403 St Clair Ave., in Cleveland.

Sue Holick-Bade is exhibiting in the Women’s Art League Water Exhibition at Probate Court Gallery, inside Summit County Courthouse, 209 S High St in Akron, through May 28th.

FREE Figure Drawing at The Parma Art Center, 7335 Ridge Rd (inside City of Parma Parks &Recreation Center). Ongoing FREE figure drawing the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, 6:30 to 8:30 PM. No instructor, just a gathering of artists. Welcome beginning or experienced artists to draw or paint. (Bring your own supplies) Live models, fully clothed. Each session a different volunteer model from the community will pose in exchange for a drawing/painting from each artist present. This is a body-positive group, all shapes, sizes, and ages are welcome to pose. Great way for artists to hone your figure drawing skills, meet other artists, in a relaxing atmosphere.
