Parma's Oldest Congregation Welcomes Pets
St. Paul United Church of Christ located at 7507 York Road began its life as St Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church in 1858 established by local residents of German descent.
Not only is St. Paul the oldest continuous congregation in Parma (also known as the friendliest church in town), well-behaved pets (leashed or caged) are enthusiastically welcomed into its sanctuary with their owners.
Today, the church provides spiritual guidance to its members during services held at 10 a.m. every Sunday. The church is the membership, gathered to worship God, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to celebrate the Sacraments, to enjoy Christian fellowship, to serve others with love, and to strive toward righteousness, justice, and peace.
Services are led by Pastor Jason Stitt, a life-long member of the church. His pertinent sermons provide food for thought, comfort and joy to congregants. The church has a small, but talented music program including a choir and bell choir. Organist and pianist, Eric Nguyen provides beautiful music each Sunday. If you can’t join in person, services are posted on the church’s website each week at Online Worship
