Summer Of Superman At B&L Comics

First and foremost, the selection at B&L Comics is nothing short of excellent.  As soon as one walks through the doors, you are greeted by shelves stacked with a diverse array of comic books.  For hardcore comic collectors, often nothing beats the selection Larry Zjaba has when new comics are released, or even better, where one can submit a pull list and have their favorites ordered and held for them!

To celebrate the "Summer of Superman", there are several new Superman titles, a Krypto the Superdog miniseries, (which sold out!) and a new Supergirl run. DC has seen massive success over the past year with the Absolute titles, and Larry said the Absolute Superman, Batman, and Flash titles have been consistent bestsellers. And with more Superman-related content to come with DC Universe Infinite, this is only the beginning! In the next few months, DC will be revealing more new content as part of their All In “Summer of Superman” celebrating DC’s flagship Super Hero.

Horror comics are also a big seller at B&L Comics. There are plenty of horror comics that do well: Hyde Street, Vampirella, and Mark Spears Monsters. There’s something about the visual aspect of comics that can elevate horror.  Comics offer up a wide breadth of styles, genres and characters, and recent books certainly prove this. Predator vs. Spiderman, Avengers vs. Godzilla, Spiderman & Wolverine, and the Transformers are a few titles that stand on their own merits.

B&L Comics is your traditional comic book store,  it's comics and some old-school collectibles:  Pokemon Cards, Magic the Gathering Cards (including the Final Fantasy cards), Garbage Pail Kids, baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and soccer cards.

And B&L has an impressive selection of back issues, many of them eye-catching copies. This store has long been a fixture at 5591 Ridge Road for 41 years! Hungry for more?  Whether you're a die hard comic collector or just dipping your toes into the "Summer of Superman", it’s worth stopping in to pick up any new issues you need.

"The spirit of Superman is great to have around." – Brandon Routh  (and so is B&L Comics!)
